Description
My family and I are renting to own a home in Wabash, Indiana. We are responsible for all repairs and all remodeling to the home and all utilites. It needs some fixing up here and there, but other then that it is a very nice home and we love living in the home.Where the home is located at is very quiet and everyone stays to theirselves. The home had a boiler system in the home when we moved into it at the beging of Oct.2009 and we found out that it didnt work,so we removed it and removed all the radiators out of the home.We purchased a furance for $200 that we still owe $60 dollars on it, but we didnt want to pay the rest of the money till we find out if the furance works or not.We was told it worked and that it is about ten years old.The people that we bought it from used it for back up for their fi.The main thing we need help with ASAP is getting this furance hooked up to see if it works, duct work and vents installed,so that our whole house will be warm, not just one and a half rooms. We have electric heater in our downstairs bedroom with the door shut,so that our room stays warm.We have a electric heater ting in the kitchen, but the kitchen is pretty big,so it is trying to heat the kitchen, back porch, back bedroom and the downstairs bathroom. The electric heater isnt that big. In Nov. 2009 we installed a 20,000 BTU gas wall heater in our living room,so at least part of our home is warm for the winter. We was going to install another gas wall heater, but we would like to see if we can hold off on that and get the furance and all the duct work and etc.installed and that should be great and then we would have heat in the downstairs besides the gas wall heater that we installed ourselves and we can turn that down,so it wont have to work so hard to heat the living room, trying to heat the dining room, etc. We have contacted a couple of people and the first people said they would help if we would get a furance, well we got the furance and they said they would install it,but when we told them we was unable to get all the duct work, and we asked if they could help with this and they said no and then just ped off the face of the earth and never contacted us back to see if we still needed help.We contacted another person and he said he would help with $100 down, but this didnt include installing duct work and vents,it just included in the price of $345 dollars hooking up the furance and hooking up a themostat and thats it.He never called us back.
